Metro will hold a “virtual meeting” on Monday night from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. to give members of the public a chance to officially comment on how to improve traffic in the area of the gap in the 710 freeway between Alhambra and Pasadena.
Here’s an explanation of the meeting from the “710 Conversations” page on the Metro website:
We are now in the “Scoping” phase, when you can put your concerns and solutions officially on the record for Metro and Caltrans to review.
Normally this is done in writing or in person, but now we are providing an opportunity to submit your comments from the comfort of home through this virtual meeting. We’re calling it the SR-710 Conversations Online Open House. By signing up now, you will be able to join us on March 21 at 6 p.m. to interact with Metro and Caltrans staff, download and view information material, and, most importantly, submit your comments for official record. This virtual meeting will be live March 21 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and available on demand for you to access until April 14.
Sign up for the meeting here. And here is a post from last week explaining how the meeting will work. This is the third round of meetings since mid-February — the first round looked at transportation history in the area and the second round focused on how the environmental review process works for transportation projects.
There are also four more meetings to be held in communities near the 710 gap. Time and dates are after the jump.
