Service in the Hollywood area of the Metro Red Line was delayed up to 20 minutes this morning following an incident at the Hollywood/Vine station. The incident occurred at approximately 7:15 a.m. when a man on the tracks was reportedly struck by a westbound train as the train approached the boarding area. The individual was secured on the tracks adjacent to the platform and then transported with unknown injuries to a nearby hospital by an LAFD rescue unit. The circumstances of the accident are under investigation; the extent of the man’s injuries are reported to be critical. Full service and normal operations was restored at 9 a.m.

Wow bad news… I was at the Vermont/Wilshire station at 9:30am and the timetables were not working later on plasma it said on the plasma something about being an accident somewhere.
People need to stay away form the edge of platform and face the direction the train is coming if they are listening to music, I see this so many times ESPECIALLY on the Blue Line!!
Is this the first time someone has been struck by the Red/Purple Line?
