Online video wall gives gives transit riders a voice

APTA Video Wall

The American Public Transportation Association (APTA) recently launched an online video wall featuring testimonials from transit riders across the nation. The goal is to give transit riders a voice and to encourage Congress to pass a long-term transportation bill that increases funding for public transportation.

Think of it as sort a multimedia petition for increased transit investment.

Currently there are over 160 videos on the site representing the broad range of individuals – from a senior citizen in Snohomish County, WA to a college student in Cincinnati, OH – who take advantage of public transportation. The wall isn’t done and the APTA is encouraging all transit riders the share their story – you can do so by visiting http://wall.publictransportation.org/ and uploading a video of your own.

If you do make a video, let us know and we’ll feature it on The Source.
