Today in the art of transit

A San Francisco streetcar rolls into the sunset. Photo by Nick.Fisher via Flickr. Click above to see the photo and more information on Flickr.

There’s something almost immediately photogenic about vintage streetcars. Throw in a sunset and light bouncing off a brick median and those are the ingredients for a fine photo taken this spring by Nick.Fisher and posted at Flickr.

The photo was taken with a Canon EOS Rebel Tli with a shutter speed of 1/320th of a second, an aperture of f/5, focal length of 28mm and an ISO setting of 100.

If you would like to a submit a photo or photos of something transportation-related for our daily ‘art of transit’ feature, post them to Metro’s Flickr group or email them to sourcemetro@gmail.com. We’re striving to feature top-notch photography and we’d love to use more photos of our transportation systems here in So Cal.

I’ve taken all the photos that we’ve featured in our daily ‘art of transit’ posts and added them to galleries on Flickr that you can peruse. Or you can click on the ‘art of transit’ below to view our daily posts.
