This is a photo of a 1952 drawing showing mass transit concepts for San Francisco. As you probably know, elevated rail lines never did come to the city — probably a good thing. The photo is by Eric Fischer.

As we’ve frequently mentioned, we’re looking to feature transportation- and transit-related photos on The Source. There’s no rigid guidelines. We’re basically looking for something that catches the eye and we would love to use a lot of photos of transportation here in Los Angeles County and the Golden State.
