@MetroLosAngeles Twitter Tuesday

Welcome to Twitter Tuesday, a weekly feature here at The Source in which we’ll round up the latest Metro related tweets in the Twitterverse. To follow Metro on Twitter just search for @MetroLosAngeles. We recommend adding the #MetroLosAngeles tag to your tweets to get our attention.

Here’s this week’s roundup of what Metro riders are talking about on Twitter. We’ll start with the bad, because this week there’s actually not that much bad:

anahr @metrolosangeles 9387 “rapid” the slowest bus ever. holding up uncrowded traffic and orange buses are zooming past #metrolosangeles

ohitsjustkate #metrolosangeles what’s with pacific ave on the 201??? all stops abandoned but the metro website says nothing. i can’t get to work!!!

tripzz #metrolosangeles going on day 3 that 1125a goldline unionstation been late over 5mins, changes? Problems? Gota goto work

ohitsjustkate Hey #metrolosangeles, MAYBE if a stop is abandoned, it shouldn’t show up in trip planner results on the website! just got stranded. thanks.

And now for the good. Maybe it’s because summer is here, but a lot of riders seem to be experiencing good vibes on Metro. Let’s hope it keeps up:

Kythera So far, the 108 is running like clockwork this morning! #metrolosangeles

gbrey The ride on @metrolosangeles to Union Station was oddly relaxing, now on to the Dodgers Stadium shuttle!

samtlam Took the Metro subway today for the first time just now. L.A.’s no joke! Smoothest subway/light rail ride I’ve ever taken. @metrolosangeles

enrique_giron After using #metrolosangeles for the first time, I have to say: Good job

And a few more “slice of Metro life” tweets:

cindymariej Hopping onto @metrolosangeles to get downtown for ‘Myth, Wagner and The Human Brain’ @CalArtsREDCAT #nerd #opera

kitmae on the @metrolosangeles with my parents. their first time!

Follower gometro has another suggestion for bringing in additional revenue:

gometro Here’s something else @MetroLosAngeles can do instead of raising our fares: rent space at larger stations to store vendors. #MetroFares

And to finish things off, a tweet about some questionable programming on TransitTV:

hnjohnso Yesterday on @metrolosangeles 200, the TransitTV played Justin Beiber. Completely wrong audience.

Unless that particular bus happened to be filled with 10 year old girls, hnjohnso is probably right.
