710 gap closure item to be heard by full Board of Directors

Today’s meeting of the Board of Directors’ Measure R committee has been canceled. As a result, a motion to launch a new round of studies on how to improve traffic in the 710 gap closure area will go directly to the full Board of Directors at their meeting next Thursday.

The studies, if they are approved, would consider a variety of fixes for traffic in the area between Alhambra and Pasadena, including surface street improvements, freight rail fixes and a tunnel for the freeway, to name a few.

Here’s a link to a recent post that includes some history on the issue and more about the studies.
