Attentive Source readers will recall that the Board of Directors of Metro last month were set to consider a motion by Directors John Fasana and Gloria Molina to launch a new round of studies to consider how to improve traffic in the area around the gap of the 710 freeway between Alhambra and Pasadena.
Here’s a lengthy post on the issue from last month and, yes, a tunnel will be considered as a potential solution — along with other potential fixes.
Because anything involving the 710 gap is controversial, the Board of Directors decided to push back the vote until this month. Now the Board of Director’s Measure R Delivery Committee is scheduled to hear the matter at 9 a.m. on Thursday morning at Metro headquarters in downtown Los Angeles.
