Weekend Destination Discount: Taste of the World Festival – Armenia

If you’re looking for something cultural, cheap and tasty to do this weekend, check out this last minute Destination Discount for the Taste of the World Festival featuring the dance, food and artistry of Armenia. It’s happening this Saturday May 15th (12 p.m. to 10 p.m.) and Sunday May 16th (12 p.m. to 6 p.m.) at Paseo Colorado in Pasadena, just a short walk from the Memorial Park Gold Line Station.

This is this first in a series of free events hosted by Noor Restaurant Ballroom that aim to highlight the food, dance, music and culture of different countries.

This weekend’s event, hosted by KCRW’s DJ Tom Schnabel, will celebrate the artistry of Armenia with live musical performances by Armenian folk, classical, jazz, and contemporary pop musicians along with award-winning dance troupes and children’s entertainment.

So if the event is free, what’s the deal for Metro riders? How does free dessert sound? That’s right, come to the festival this weekend and show your valid Metro pass, Metro Rail ticket or TAP card to receive something along the lines of this:
