The tweet from the Gold Line Foothill Extension Construction Authority just went out a few minutes ago — the groundbreaking on the light rail extension from Pasadena to Azusa is scheduled for Saturday, June 26, at 10 a.m. at Newcastle Park in Arcadia.

The Foothill Extension will be the first rail project funded by Measure R to break ground.
