The I-405 Sepulveda Pass Widening Project contractor plans to begin clearing and grubbing work in the southbound I-405 freeway on and off-ramp loops north and south of Wilshire Boulevard starting the week of April 26. In preparation for this work, the southbound I-405 to Wilshire Boulevard on and off-ramps will be closed Monday night, April 19 for one night to allow for k-rail placement and equipment loading. Here’s the details from the project construction notice:
What: Clearing trees and grubbing plants inside the southbound I-405 loops, north and south of Wilshire Boulevard.
When: Night time work is anticipated to begin Monday, April 26, 2010, for approximately four weeks. This activity will take place from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Where: Southbound I-405 loops, north and south of Wilshire Boulevard. All activity will be contained within the loops.
What to Expect:
- Southbound I-405 to Wilshire Boulevard on and off-ramps will be closed Monday, April 19, 2010, for one night to allow for k-rail placement and equipment loading. Ramp closures will start at 8 p.m. and reopen at 6 a.m.
- Southbound I-405 to Wilshire on and off-ramps closure for two additional nights when taking down large trees that overhang the ramps.
