9:30 A.M. UPDATE: Both northbound lanes have now been reopened to traffic.
Additional roadway surface repair work for the I-405 Sepulveda Pass Widening Project will delay the opening of two northbound freeway lanes on the I-405 over the Sepulveda Pass this morning.
The No. 1 and No. 2 lanes — the far left lanes of the freeway — will be closed between the area of Bel Air Crest and Skirball Center Drive until approximately 9 a.m. while work crews complete needed work. These lanes were planned to open between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. The remaining lanes are open to traffic. The southbound side of the freeway is not affected.
Northbound motorists should anticipate some delays crossing through this area. Metro will post updates as they become available.
