Metro’s lined up a series of five meetings to update the public on the progress of the Draft Environment Impact Statement/Report (DEIS/DEIR) for the project which will include new details on stations and an analysis of the current rail alternatives. Basically these meetings offer you the chance to stay up to date on the latest developments with one of Metro’s most ambitious and important projects.

NEXT ROUND OF METRO WESTSIDE SUBWAY EXTENSION COMMUNITY UPDATE MEETINGS SCHEDULED FOR APRIL
The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority invites the public to attend community update meetings for the Westside Subway Extension Project April 12 thru 21.
The meetings will provide an update on the agency’s continued progress of the Draft Environmental Impact Statement/Report (DEIS/DEIR) for the project. Meetings will include information developed since the last station information meetings were held in late 2009. The project team will present further refined station details and preliminary performance analysis of the rail alternatives under review.
Meetings will be held at the following dates:

The content presented at each meeting will be identical and the agenda will include an open house at 6 p.m. followed by a presentation and a public comment period.

Metro anticipates releasing the Draft EIS/EIR for public comment in summer 2010. The agency’s Board of Directors will consider the recommendations later this year.
