A reprieve of sorts: the work set to begin this evening on the northbound 405 freeway has been postponed due to rain in the forecast, according to Metro officials.

That means that the first full closure of the freeway is now scheduled for early Thursday morning between the 10 freeway and National Boulevard from midnight until 5 a.m. Lane closures are scheduled to begin Wednesday night after 7 p.m.
