If you loathe driving on New Year’s Eve, all Metro buses and trains are offering free fares from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. tonight and early tomorrow morning. Here’s a link to the press release.
All Metro rail lines and the Orange Line busway are running all night for the holiday and to help people reach Pasadena for the Tournament of Roses parade and the big game tomorrow afternoon. Trains will be running every 20 minutes overnight. Buses will be running on their regular overnight schedules.
The parade is a short walk from four stations in Pasadena — Del Mar, Memorial Park, Lake and Allen. If you’re headed to the game, take the train to the Memorial Park station and then make the five minute walk to the parking lot at Parsons, where free shuttle buses will be running (click on the Google map below). More details on using Metro to reach the parade and the Rose Bowl for the game can be found in this press release.
