Stuff a bus or two with toys today

Metro is again partnering with Southland firefighters and ABC7 to stuff a bus — or maybe two or three — with toys for deserving children. Just drop off new unwrapped toys or sports equipment at the Metro bus parked at Gateway Plaza Center, 21949 Ventura Blvd. (the corner of Ventura and Topanga Canyon) in Woodland Hills.

Toys are being accepted until 6:30 p.m. today, Dec. 11. The drive lasts through Dec. 24.

Stuff a bus is part of the Spark of Love Toy Drive, now in its 17th year. Each year firefighters from Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura counties collect gifts and distribute them to needy children. Last year the drive gathered more than 600,000 toys.

For more details and/or toy distribution sites, go to abc7.com and click on the Spark of Love icon on the bottom of the page.
