Long holiday weekends can be boring … although not usually. But if you’re looking for something to do this weekend, Metro has a discount agreement with MOCA (the Museum of Contemporary Art). It’s a two-for-one admission deal to all three of MOCA’s locations. MOCA Grand Avenue is just two blocks from the Red Line Civic Center Station and the Geffen Contemporary at MOCA is across the street from the  new Gold Line Eastside Extension Little Tokyo/Arts District Station.

To get the discount, show your Metro pass, ticket or Destination Discounts card at the box office. And if you’d rather spend the weekend vegging out or shopping (very good for the economy), that’s fine, too. The discount deal is valid through May 10, 2010. But remember that the cool new show — “MOCA’s First Thirty Years,” which is filled with some of the finest art of the 20th Century — ends May 3.
