Gold Line Accident — more details

At approximately 1:08 p.m. northbound Metro Gold Line train and auto collided at Glenarm crossing north of Mission Station. Car overturned and is currently blocking both tracks. Accident on Gold Line: Collision between train and auto near Glenarm. Auto overturned and blocking both tracks. Emergency response personnel notified and responding. Southbound trains turning back from Del Mar and northbound trains turning back at Mission. Bus bridge to ferry riders between stations is forming. Update to follow.

405 full closure early Friday

The northbound 405 freeway is scheduled to be fully closed between Santa Monica and Wilshire boulevards tonight for work on the Sepulveda Pass widening project. Ramp closures could begin as early as 8 p.m. and lane closures after 9 p.m. Here’s the latest construction update.
