Academy Awards Bus Detours

Due to Academy Awards staging, Lines 212, 217, 222 and 780 will be on detour between Highland Ave. and La Brea Ave.

LAFD Procession Bus Detours

Due to funeral service for LAFD Firefighter/Paramedic Glenn L. Allen, Lines 2, 4, 10, 14, 30, 37, 40, 42, 45, 48, 55, 60, 68, 70, 71, 76, 78, 79, 81, 83, 84, 90, 91, 92, 94, 96, 302, 355, 439, 445, 485, 487, 489, 728, 730, 733, 740, 745, 770, 794 and Silver Line will be on detour in the downtown L.A. Civic Center area.

After 8:15pm, Blue Line trains run every 30 minutes due to construction work for the future Expo Line.  Please see schedule here.

Green Line

Due to track maintenance from 10am to 2pm, eastbound trains from Redondo Beach may be delayed up to 3 minutes.  Metro apologies for the inconvenience.

During this time, trains in both directions will share one track at Lakewood Station. Please check train destination signs and announcements before boarding.

UPDATE: DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER, THIS DETOUR WILL NOT BE IN EFFECT BETWEEN THURS, FEB 17 & MON, FEB 21. ALL LINES USING THE HARBOR TRANSITWAY WILL BE ON THEIR REGULAR ROUTE. DETOURS WILL RESUME ON TUES, FEB 22.

Gold Line Eastside Extension

Due to track maintenance from 10am to 2pm in East LA, trains from Union Station to Atlantic will run every 24 minutes.   Trains between Union Station & Pasadena will run between 3 minutes earlier or 3 minutes later than regular schedule.  Trains are subject to minor work related delays.

Trains to Pasadena will depart Atlantic Station at 9:49am, 10:01, 10:25, 10:49, 11:13, 11:37, 12:01pm, 12:25, 12:49, 1:13, 1:37, 2:01, 2:25, 2:37, then resuming regular schedule. Additional train service to Pasadena will begin at Union Station in between trains originating from Atlantic, providing every 12 minute service on Pasadena Gold Line.

Trains to East LA will depart Union Station at 9:17am, 9:29, 9:55, 10:19, 10:43, 11:07, 11:31, 11:55, 12:19pm, 12:43, 1:07, 1:31, 1:55, 2:05, then resuming regular schedule.

During this time, trains in both directions will share ONE track at Maravilla & East LA Civic Center. Please check destination signs and platform announcements before boarding.

Metro Local and Limited Line 026/051/052/352

Effective Dates: Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011Monday, Feb. 28, 2011
Direction: Northbound and SouthboundIn mid-February 2011, Metro and the City of Compton will open the new Martin Luther King, Jr. Transit Center.  Anticipated opening is Sunday, Feb 13 or later.

Northbound Line 51 buses will depart the new Transit Center from Bay 4 via Willowbrook Av. to Compton Bl., then regular route.

Southbound Line 51 buses will enter the new ML King Transit Center from Alameda Street to Tamarind Av and serve assigned Bus Bays adjacent the Metro Blue Line Compton Station.

Blue Line

Friday – Monday, February 11-14: due to major Blue Line/Expo Construction, beginning at 8:30 p.m. Friday and through at least 4 a.m. Monday morning, trains will operate only between Washington Station & Long Beach Transit Mall.  Trains will operate on regular schedule.  Shuttle Buses (Line 801) will operate between Washington Station & 7th/Metro Center.  Please be advised to allow up to 40 additional minutes to complete your trip and that work will occur over additional weekends; notices will be posted. The next anticipated weekend closure is Feb 25-27, subject to change.  See below for bus shuttle stop locations.

Gold Line

Due to track maintenance after 9 p.m., trains in both directions will share the Southbound to East LA Atlantic track at Chinatown, Lincoln Hts/Cypress Prk, Heritage Sq/Arroyo, & Southwest Museum stations.

Please check train destination signs and announcements before boarding.  Trains are subject to minor work related delays during this time.

Harbor Transitway Night Closure (Lines 445, 460, 550, Silver Line)

Due to ExpressLanes road work, the Harbor Transitway carpool lane on the I-110 freeway will be CLOSED from 10pm thru 5am on each night thru Feb 18, EXCEPT Feb 12. This will impact late night service on Lines 445, 460, 550 and Silver Line serving 37th St/USC, Slauson, Manchester, Harbor Fwy, and Rosecrans Stations.  Buses will be subject to delays throughout each night due to local traffic detours. Patrons may consider using late night/owl Line 45 service on Broadway during these times as an additional option for travel to/from Downtown LA and nearby Harbor Transitway stations.

During this time, all northbound buses will detour via Broadway (one block east of I-110 Fwy) and all southbound buses will detour via Figueroa (one block west of I-110 Fwy).  Please click here for more details.
