FINAL UPDATE: Green Line Avalon Station now open after police investigation

Final Update, 2:30 p.m.: Green Line Avalon Station is now open after a crime investigation. All trains are resuming normal service to the station.

Update, 10:50 a.m.: No change to Green Line service at this time. Trains will continue to bypass Avalon Station as the investigation continues in a fatal stabbing last night about 10 p.m. Regular train service may be expected to resume in early afternoon.

For those who need to reach Avalon, please board free Metro bus shuttles available at Willowbrook/Rosa Parks and Harbor Freeway Station. Customers at Avalon Station can board shuttles at the intersection of Avalon and Imperial to continue their trip.

Update, 6:15 a.m. Friday: There have been no changes to Green Line service as a crime investigation continues. Trains will continue to bypass Avalon Station until further notice.
