These days there’s a never-ending list of fun events happening in downtown L.A. The one we’re most excited about this weekend is “Night on Broadway.”
Saturday, Jan. 31 between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m., celebrate the 7th Anniversary of the “Bringing Back Broadway” initiative with music, performances, dance, food trucks, interactive pedestrian spaces, merchant pop-ups, kids’ activities and more. It’s all taking place on–you guessed it–Broadway between 3rd and 11th Streets.
Broadway’s businesses will also join in on the fun. Many of the district’s historic theatres will offer multicultural entertainment, restaurants will supply special deals, and stores will boast creative window displays.
Due to street closures and detours the night of the event, the easiest way to get to the celebration will be the Metro Red or Purple Line. Exit at Pershing Square and walk a block south to Broadway/5th to get to the heart of the action. If you prefer to walk Broadway from end to end, exiting at Civic Center/Grand Park puts you in walking distance of the 3rd Street terminal. However you get there, be sure to present your valid TAP card at the “Bringing Back Broadway” booth for the chance to win a free pair of tickets to an upcoming concert or event at Broadway’s historic Orpheum Theatre! I’ll let George Benson take it from here…
