USC Football Express to take fans from Orange County to Los Angeles

Fans can save time and money by taking Metrolink Sept. 27 to Oregon State game

LOS ANGELES – Football fans are encouraged to ride the USC Football Express to and from Los Angeles Union Station for the Saturday, Sept. 27 game between No. 18 USC and the undefeated Oregon State Beavers at 7:30 p.m.

The Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) is funding the special Metrolink train service to and from the Saturday night game. Orange County Line train 6507 will depart Oceanside at 3:15 p.m., making 11 convenient station stops before a 5:25 p.m. Union Station arrival.

Metrolink riders can purchase the always low-priced $10 Weekend Day Pass, which allows passengers to ride anytime, anywhere system-wide on either Saturday or Sunday.

From there, riders will transfer at no additional cost to Metro’s light rail lines and arrive at the Coliseum within minutes, enjoying a hassle-free ride, while saving time and money on traffic and parking. Metrolink tickets are TAP enabled and will open the gates at the Metro Rail stations.

•Exit at Expo Park/USC or Expo/Vermont Station and walk one block south to the Coliseum

Your trip home:

•From Expo Park/USC or Expo/Vermont Station, take the Expo Line toward 7th St/Metro Center Station

•Exit at 7th St/Metro Center Station

•From 7th St/Metro Center Station, take Red Line or Purple Line toward Union Station

•Exit at Union Station

Continue to Orange County with Metrolink

From Union Station:

The USC Football Express train 6506 will depart L.A. Union Station 75 minutes after the game ends and travel south to Oceanside and all points in between.
