Don’t forget: Meet Me @ Metro II starts this weekend!

The above video is an edit of last year’s Meet Me @ Metro, a unique performance art experience where the performers and the audience ride together on Metro Rail.

I rode along last year and the show exceeded my expectations – read my take on it here.

Last year was such a success that the Watts Village Theater Company has brought back the concept for another year with an expanded route, schedule and artistic vision.

This should be a great family event for the holiday weekend. Performances start at 11am on Saturday and Sunday at The Watts Towers Art Center and goes down to Long Beach on the Blue Line with 5 station stops along the way.

Tickets on Saturday are $11 and Sunday is pay-what-you-can. Tickets can be purchased online.

If you can’t make it this weekend, there are two more performances next Saturday and Sunday.

About Fred Camino

Fred Camino is a transit advocate, blogger, designer and animator living car-free in Downtown LA and lovin' it. A transplant from Florida, Fred moved to L.A. in 2003 (with a car) and quickly realized that riding Metro made the traffic snarled city bearable – and even kind of great. He dumped his car for good in 2005 and a year later he started MetroRiderLA, a blog promoting the L.A. transit lifestyle. Fred's contributions to The Source continue this theme with coverage of the day-to-today issues that affect Metro riders, promotion of Metro accessible destinations and glimpses into the technology innovations that are making transit a more accessible and appealing alternative to the car.
