The art of transit

photo by Betty Rube, via Twitter

This is one of my favorite “art of transits” yet: Betty took this photo Monday at the Artesia Transit Center, tweeting “Is there an additional fare for huge stuffed animals? Poor bear. I think he was abandoned.” For the record, I’m unaware of the fare policy for stuffed animals but I do know that children under five ride free with a paying adult.

To submit a photo for the Art of Transit, post it to Metro’s Flickr group, email it to sourcemetro@gmail.com or Tweet it to @metrolosangeles with an #artoftransit hashtag. Many of the photos we’ve featured can be seen in these galleries on Flickr.

  1. My first thought when I saw it there was “bomb”. I took a closer look and no wires (altho I’m no professional). Lol.

It was gone when we got home so hopefully someone gave it a good home.

  2. I’m curious where he came from — it’s hard to win a bear that big! Those games at the amusement parks, carnivals, etc. are always rigged!
