A 30/10 rally is planned on the south lawn of Los Angeles City Hall tomorrow at noon. The theme? “Put LA back to work.”
Organized by Move LA the rally will host Senator Barbara Boxer, AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka, Move LA’s Denny Zane, Letter Carrier President Fredric Rolando, the Los Angeles County Federation of Labor, and The Los Angeles/Orange County Building Trades Council.
Officials say that if 30/10 is approved 160,000 jobs in construction, operations and maintenance would be created – the so called “green jobs” that the federal government is banking the nation’s economic recovery on.
