Bus service restored to Dodger Stadium

County Supervisor and Metro Board member Mike Antonovich made the announcement today that he secured a $300,000 anti-air pollution grant to restore bus service between Union Station and Dodger Stadium for the 2010 season. The best part: the bus ride is free to anyone holding a game ticket.

The full announcement is on Antonovich’s website. Antonovich and Metro officials will soon make a formal announcement at the stadium; Metro is providing the clean natural gas buses. Bus service ran to the stadium in 2008 but not last year when the city of Los Angeles decided not to continue paying for the program.
